| | | January Meeting and Class - JANUARY 31 MEMBERSHIP MEETING & C.E. COURSE: The January Membership Meeting of the Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Jeff's Catering, and is sponsored by NORTHEAST BANK. Please come and welcome our new officers! We especially hope to see many of our new members from the now dissolved Hancock-Washington Board of REALTORS. Our guest speaker this month is Tina Lucas, President of the Maine Association of REALTORS. We will also be presenting checks representing the proceeds of our Spirit of Giving Auctions to the respective recipients. The buffet will open at 11:30. The cost of lunch is now $8.00...still a bargain for an all-you-can-eat buffet! Please pre-register for lunch and/or class online at https://www.mainelistings.com/ExternalSites/CTE/Login. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BY WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2012. Following the meeting from 1:30-4:30, GBAR will offer a 3 credit course entitled "Code of Ethics" taught by Geoff MacLean, and partially sponsored by BANGOR SAVINGS BANK. This course satisfies your ethics requirement for the current quadrennial cycle which ends on 12/31/12. ALL REALTORS MUST TAKE A REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS CLASS BETWEEN 1/1/09 AND 12/31/12 or your membership will be suspended. This will be the only free ethics class we offer before that date, so please don't put it off. If you're not sure whether you have taken ethics within the required time frame, and can't find it in your records, please send me an email at marciabartol@msn.com and I will check mine. If you're a member of GBAR, AND you join us for the membership luncheon, there is no extra charge for the course. If you don't come to lunch, the cost of the course is $25.
